We had a slow start to our community service this year but we are back on track. We had a small group participate in the Harford County Relay for Life at Patterson Mill High school, May 21st-22nd. Starting in July, we started our monthly collections. Our first collection was for for the local Villa Maria school who works with students with emotional, learning, and multiple disabilities. The school has a program to reward positive behaviors and need toys, sporting equipment, games, puzzles, etc., for that program. I am proud to announce that we collected over 250 items for the program plus almost 200 gently used books for classroom and library use. Upcoming collections and events: August: Collect school supplies for underprivileged students We are just getting started - Stay Tuned! |
