IFT Food Expo 2012 is just a few days away--booths are being built, food samples are being prepped and shipped, and thousands are travelling into Sin City Las Vegas.
Here are some tips for surviving the nation's largest gathering of food scientists:
It will be tempting to partake of all the product samples--fight that urge or your digestive system may revolt. As one of our tradeshow veterans warned me early in my treks to IFT, be selective in the products you choose, don't feel like you need to eat the whole sample, and watch out for potential food safety problems.
Take a few minutes to watch IFT's orientation slideshow
They've packed a lot of great info into an eight minute online presentation. Shuttle service, scheduling, and networking and social events are just a few of the topics covered.
If you have a smart phone, you need this app--period.
You don't want to miss your photo opp with the Gum Guru®. He'll be at our booth on Tuesday from 1-4 PM; Wednesday from 12-3 PM; and Thursday from 11-2 PM.
We suggest taking in two presentations by our TIC Gums colleagues:
