Part of TIC Gums vision is to "Live our Values." One of those values is to have an active community service committee. Over the past few years, TIC Gums has provided goods, time, and funds to many local and international organizations.

For three years now, TIC Gums has supported the Villa Maria School in Harford County, MD through the donation of books, toys, and games. The school works with children with social, behavioral, or learning challenges to provide them the intensive educational and clinical services they need. Items provided are used in the library, art class, or in the school store where each item is assigned a points value. Children accrue points for accomplishing academic and behavioral goals and are able to spend those points in the store.

"These may be just small dollar toys to us, but it means the world to these children," says Sheritta Gilchrist, quality assurance analyst and champion for this event.
