We have intern opportunities available...

  • Administrative opportunities are available for high school or college students at out fast-paced facility in Belcamp, MD. In this role, you will assist with different administrative duties to include filing, scanning, copying and organizing of files & records. Must have good computer skills. (Microsoft Office).
  • Lab Technician. Opening for a Lab Tech in our QA Laboratory. In this position, you will be accountable for applications specific work to include assisting in lab experiments, performing tests, and preparing lab samples. Must possess skills required to safely and properly operate specific lab instrumentation, and be able to compile, tabulate and submit results of experiments in a timely fashion.

National Sales Manager

The National Sales Manager focuses on achieving sales revenue and market share targets by developing and executing business plans, coordinating with the Marketing team, and ensuring effective coverage of territories in support of the Inside and Outside Sales departments.

This position will act as a coach in the development of the sales team to enable them the tools necessary to maximize sales. In addition this position will focus on leveraging and growing partnerships with key customers nationally.

In addition, the candidate must be highly proficient with computer applications such as Microsoft Office and CRM software. Must be capable of delivering high impact presentations in front of groups of varying sizes. Must possess strong analytical expertise in understanding complex issues and their consequences. Must possess strong negotiation skills and possess a high level of diplomacy skills to be able to defuse stressful situations. Must be able to work with many different personality types to achieve goals.

Mechanical Engineer

This position is responsible for Production Engineering Functions and assists in continual improvement and problem solving through original thinking, brainstorming, problem definition, and implementation. It focuses on increasing rates, maximizing yields, and reducing downtime.

Specific duties include designing and drawing simple mechanical parts in Auto CAD, creating and updating engineering documents, P&ID, electrical drawings, tag sheets in Visio, Excel, Word, Access, & other applications as required. Also responsible for completing and updating engineering changes regarding tasks and inventory on new equipment and improvements in reference to preventative maintenance.

Other duties include assisting in Electrical Technician duties in regards to wiring, diagnosing controls, and replacements of parts, performing equipment start-ups, and Supporting the maintenance function through training, development of improved parts and procedures, improvement of preventative maintenance tasks and training, using the Maintenance Software (MP2).

B.S. in Mechanical Engineering. + 3-5 years experience preferred.

Principal Scientist

This position is accountable for innovative developments and the support of company product development activities within Applications.

Essential duties include completing assigned projects in a timely fashion using experimental design, and reporting status of projects as they progress with a final summary in the company designated data base system. Must stay abreast of the developments and the advancement of the underlying science of hydrocolloid materials affecting emulsion and texture development in various food forms, and support technical innovative development by actively seeking new applicable technology that is related to TIC’s core business. Must also contribute to the development of the intellectual property base through the filing of patents, where applicable and practicing good stewardship of our proprietary knowledge and know how.

An advanced degree in Food Science, Organic Chemistry or related field is preferred with an undergraduate in Organic Chemistry/Food Science. A minimum of 5 years professional experience, preferably within the food or a related industry is required or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Lab Technician I, R&D

This position is accountable for the completion of applications specific work that results in customer satisfaction and increased sales.

In this role, you will assist in lab experiments, prepare lab samples, and perform specific tests assigned by your supervisor. You should possess the skills required to safely and properly operate specified lab instrumentation according to listed work instructions. Good time management and multi-tasking ability required.

You will be required to maintain a legible and organized laboratory notebook for recording of results, and will be responsible for compiling, tabulating, charting and submitting results of experiments in a timely manner.

This position requires a high school diploma. Lab experience and chemistry/lab classes helpful.

Food Scientist

This position is accountable for driving sales through application/ innovation level work and direct customer interactions.

In this role, the successful candidate will be responsible for staying abreast of recent scientific findings that pertain to the application of hydrocolloids in the food area, and ideally with dairy related products. They will maintain a working knowledge of all phases of customer-based product development to include new ingredients/ raw materials, processing parameters, equipment, and packaging details.

Other duties include completing assigned projects in a timely fashion using an appropriate experimental design and reporting the status of projects as they progress with a final summary in the company designated data base system. This position is also responsible to supervise the assignment, execution, and completion of projects assigned to Lab Technicians as appropriate.

The successful candidate will also be responsible for handling technical calls from customers and company representatives, and providing written documentation of discussions. You will also be able to write technical bulletins on specific end use applications highlighting the use of gums and gum systems, and for preparing and presenting information at technical meetings, trade shows, and customer visits.

Marketing Assistant (part-time)
Monday – Friday (15 to 20 hrs./wk)

In this role, the ideal candidate will perform a variety of specialized administrative and clerical duties in support of the marketing department. This role is also responsible for coordinating some aspects of tradeshows and seminars.

Requirements for this position are a High School diploma, although an Associates degree in Marketing is preferred. Must also have two years’ related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Must be computer literate and able to work with specific computer software programs including Windows, Microsoft Office 2003.
